The goal was to create a short film with an interesting storytelling approach, entirely crafted using only AI.
The Crafting
The crafting process was quite complex because the goal was to use almost exclusively AI and to keep post-production to a minimum. What I did was create the various characters for the short film, like the child and the parents, using the Omni-Ref from Midjourney. Then, still with Midjourney and ChatGPT, I generated the various static frames. After that, I animated them using Kling and Midjourney Video as needed. For the sound effects, I used Kling, and for the music, I used Suno.
Afterwards, I brought everything into After Effects, doing just a minimal amount of post-production and giving it a bit of a “worn” look, like an old film reel. Since it’s all about the moon and astronauts, the overall vibe and the look and feel were meant to evoke the 1969 moon landing.
